Fall 2011 was a very exciting season for Temna Fialka. A recent partnership project with The National Ukrainian Museum of Canada - Alberta Branch, will hit the runway various dates this fall.
The goal of the project is to blend traditional turn of the century Ukraine with modern lifestyle and high fashion in Canada.
Supporting both pre and post war fashions and cultural settlements this project hopes to revitalize the appreciation and recognition of "Canadian Ukrainians" and their unique and distinctive cultural stance.
A special thank you to the museum board of directors for their trust and Pauline Mudry for her time, energy and commitment to this project .

PROVIDING ALTERNATIVES FOR YOUTH AT RISK
Has recently launched the return of their fashion program taught by Edmonton Fashion Designer Natasha Lazarovic of Temna Fialka.
The ihuman Fashion Program teaches high risk inner city youth a variety of skill sets including jewelery design, leather work, draping, head piece design and construction, basic sewing skills and pattern drafting.
Our goal is to provide a creative alternative to the streets for these youth teaching them skills that may be applied to future endeavors and career interests. The Ihuman Youth Society not only provides an artistic outlet but a safe haven for those youth needing a few moments of peace and quiet.
The youth in the Fashion Program will spend each season exploring a diversity of fashion related projects and educational tools. Creating a full outfit that will be shown in Western Canada Fashion Week each season is only one of our short term goals.
If you have anything that would be applicable to this program please contact Fashion Co-ordinator Natasha Lazarovic by phone at 780-278-0670 or by email at temna.fialka.designs_gmail.com .

It has been brought to my attention that my personal ethics in regards to using fur in my collection's may be in question.
As we are all aware, ethical debates based on personal morals can be a very sensitive subject, and light wildfires without conscious intent.
I would like to begin by making it very clear that I DO NOT support or encourage the abuse, neglect or slaughter of animals farmed for their fur and that all fur materials used in this or any collection I have or may create in the future are recycled fur products.
